On Sunday evening the fans of Telugu super star Nandamuri Balakrishna barged in to Town Hall in excess for the 100 days event of ‘Shivalinga’ Kannada film and that has resulted in chaos, lathi charge inside the auditorium. The overcrowded stage when Balakrishna arrived was uncontrollable. The real super star strength was seen. That is the fan following of Balakrishna.


Shivanna is my ‘Thammudu’, we used to stay in the house of Dr Rajakumar especially when we missed the train to Hyderabad. There are quite a few films of my father NTR and Rajakumarji very similar in Telugu and Kannada. While it was ‘Bobbili Simha’ in Telugu, it would be ‘Keralida Simha’ in Kannada. Likewise when I did ‘Kondaviti Simha’ in Telugu, Shivanna used to do ‘Simhada Mari’ in Kannada. I know the same day ‘Anand’ was released thirty years ago of Shivanna. Telengana and Karnataka has wonderful relationship. For cinema there is no language. My ‘Gauthami Putra’ is coming soon. It is because of fans we are ‘Stars’ today admitted Balakrishna. Balakrishna uttered a few lines of his films earned wonderful applaud.

When Balakrishna uttered a few Kannada words, the crowd was up in joy. Run Antony trailer of Vinay Rajakumar and one song of ‘Santeyalli Ninta Kabira’ were screened in the presence of Balakrishna.

Police had very hectic time in controlling the crowd. Even the bouncers appointed for the occasion had tough time. Many of the dignitaries, journalists and others could not get in as the Town Hall was packed hours before event. For one reason – ‘Balakrishna’ Telugu super star.
